About the Author:
Jill Barklem (1951-November 15, 2017) was a renowned British writer and illustrator made lasting contributions to children's literature, notably through the beloved Brambly Hedge series. Following an accident at thirteen that redirected her from sports, Jill honed her artistic skills and pursued illustration at St Martin's in London. Her passion for visual storytelling led to a five-year research phase, culminating in the creation of cherished tales featuring the endearing mice of Brambly Hedge. This marked the beginning of her illustrious career, leaving a lasting impact on children's literature.
