In January 1972, we originally used SMILEY and ''Take the Time to Smile'' to highlight feel-good stories in a host of Europe’s leading newspapers. Spreading good news and happiness & positivity was our antidote to bad news and SMILEY became a simple reminder that everything will be ok in the end. Today, SMILEY powers its message of positive journalism through SMILEY News, shining a light on everyday heroes doing exceptional work in their local communities to support charities and non-profit organisations.
