The enchanting world of Mr. Men and Little Miss began with a simple tickle. When Roger Hargreaves' son, Adam, inquired about the appearance of a tickle, Roger responded by drawing a small orange man with extraordinarily long arms that could reach anywhere and tickle anyone. Thus, Mr. Tickle, the inaugural Mr. Men character, came to life. Mr. Tickle paved the way for the likes of Mr. Greedy, Mr. Happy, Mr. Nosey, Mr. Sneeze, and Mr. Bump. The instant success of these characters led Roger to create a plethora of Mr. Men and Little Miss tales. Roger's ultimate goal was to bring laughter to children, perhaps explaining why his personal favorite character is Mr. Silly.
